The festival On the way to spiritual unity: Avet Terterian and his friends took place in Nishni-Novgorod, Russia, October 7 to October 10, 1999, organised by the Conservatory of Nishni-Novgorod, the Nishni-Novgorod Regional Organisation of the Russian Union of Composers, the Nishni-Novgorod State Symphonic Orchestra, the Nishni-Novgorod Armenian Society and the Institute „Open Society“ (Soros Foundation).

    The Municipal Chamber Choir of Nishni-Novgorod and a Boys-Choir sang compositions for Choir by the following composers:
