Dilijan – one of the most beautiful corners of Armenia.

The article discusses the comprehension of the sound micro-world acquired in the space of the “absolute, cosmic silence”, according to Terteryan himself.

The discussion of the topic is based on his eight symphonies, as well as on the analysis of his thoughts. While examining the conceptual contents of the symphonies, the author attempts to describe the evolution of Avet Terteryan’s symphony art.

Particularly in the Sixth and the Seventh symphonies, Terteryan deeper touches the ideas of life, death, birth and sensual world. The article also tells about the folklore sources of Terteryan’s music, as a result of the impact of Dilijan sound micro-world.
